I love Dior, yes, I confess!
In some ways I am still a very regular person who loves simple things of life and to some extend lets herself be brain washed by the marketing industry… Yes, I love brands, in particular the French ones (no idea why). In particular Dior

Hello there. Not bad to be that brain washed… as long as there is still a brain. Mine is YSL and Hermes
I like you say about the brain
Hermes has my favourite purfume (rose), YSL is also very elegant, – good taste, coolienne.
Phew! Could only reply now.
What I said about being brainswashed and still having some brain is some summary of my thoughts about my own “consumerism”. lol
Most my favourite brands in perfume are Europeans (French & Italian). Btw, they are not that many.
Enjoy your week!
It’s quite a complex subject (consumerism). Material objects do carry a special energy, especially when they have been well designed.
Although I would not shop at such brand name places like Gucci, etc. – I feel that they are consumeristic, and are expensive just to make themselves exclusive. Ikea also has great simple designs, while being accessible to everyone.
Design is ok, but honestly, such brands like Dior DO have a much better quality, I have checkt it many times…really.. thigns just stay better in shape, the matherials are lighter and more solid, indeed different quality. That is my personal experience!
I would assume the quality is top-notch. But is a purse worth $300 (U.S.)? My mom wouldn’t allow me to buy her such an expensive gift, because we view it as wasteful. Thus I would never buy my gf such an expensive item. A decent purse can be had for $50 – one-sixth the cost of a Coach purse.
i see…
in my case I bought it myself and I thus have no conscience problems
lol. Yea, I still love you. I just won’t buy it for you. =Þ
I like how you never misinterpret comments in a negative way – I was concerned you might misinterpret my comments as criticizing your behavior. =)

Ankur, you are sooo sweet!
I know your attitude to all these expencive things, I remeber from your earlier comments on 1000petals…
You know I HAVE LEARNED to appreciate those things, it took me actually years to do so. Otherwise I would have been too far from this “reality”, meditaing on the sunrise somewhere in Himalayas and enjoying my Moksha.
It is a differnt time now, and in order to be here and look like a “normal” person I learned to enjoy this toys too…
Hello to Ankur, Hello to Axinia,
Hmmmm… True, a purse doesn’t have to cost 300 USD+ to be cute, beautiful, elegant, reliable… Although, I have more chances to meet my own criterias when the price range is above 300 usd. And believe me, the 300 usd + are more solid than many which cost less (best fittings, best leather). Talking from experience.
Axinia, what is Moksha ?
Did you wipe the snow?? It has a nice effect.
Btw, here is something:

Now you are mean too
